Worcester, MA- The Worcester Bravehearts and New England Sports Summit have announced that Mike Lynch, the Associate Vice President for Athletics and Athletics Advancement at Babson College, will serve as the keynote speaker for the 2026 New England Sports Summit.
A graduate of Rollins College, Lynch has over 30 years of experience in collegiate athletics, including three years at the University of Miami and 14 years at Boston University. At BU, Lynch led the athletic department through an overhaul and major upgrades, including the $300 million project that built Agganis Arena and the John Hancock Student Village.
In his current role at Babson College, Mike has led the Beavers to national tournament berths in 18 of their 22 varsity programs and has overseen the completion of their facility-enhancement project, including the Babson Recreation and Athletics Complex. Additionally, Mike oversees all revenue generation for Babson College Athletics and has developed a strategic plan to enhance the student-athlete experience.
“I’m excited to share my experience in sports leadership with the next generation of industry professionals through this collaboration with the Worcester Bravehearts and New England Sports Summit,” said Lynch. “This event is a fantastic opportunity for prospective employees to learn, network, and grow within the athletic industry.”
Originally from Binghamton, New York, Mike brings a lifelong love of sports to the New England Sports Summit but recognizes that passion alone does not lead to a career in the industry. He emphasizes to his athletes and students that building skills and resumes off the field is key, integrating volunteering and elite broadcast opportunities into Babson Athletics.
Prior to his career in collegiate athletics administration, Mike led the Rollins College baseball team to the Division II College World Series in 1989 and pitched professionally in the Milwaukee Brewers and Boston Red Sox organizations.
“Mike really personifies the importance of multitasking and learning about multiple aspects of the industry,” said New England Sports Summit Host Helena Stamatakis, “everything he does is for the benefit of his athletes, and focusing on the entirety of the experience is important in every level of sport, whether it is youth, collegiate, or professional. All of Mike’s experiences in collegiate athletics and his own career can translate so well to any level of sports, and attendees will all be able to gain insight from them.”
Tickets to the New England Sports Summit are still available but limited. To purchase, go to NewEnglandSportsSummit.com or email Host Helena Stamatakis
